Support on campus

When you choose to live and study at Charles Sturt University, you'll join a supportive and welcoming community.

When you choose to live and study at Charles Sturt, you'll join a supportive and welcoming community dedicated to helping you succeed. Our Residential Support Scheme is designed to make sure you get the most out of your Charles Sturt experience professionally, personally and socially. Because while we're proud of the outstanding academic and professional achievements of our students and alumni, we also think your uni years should be fun.

Residential Leaders

Our Residential Leaders (RLs) are senior students who live on campus. They've 'been there, done that', and they're here to help. RLs are trained by internal and external experts on the challenges students can face, and back it up with their own experience. If you need to know where to file an assignment, who to ask about enrolling in your next semester, or just how to make a decent spaghetti bolognaise, your RL is your first port of call.

RLs are also your first contact for the day-to-day questions. They distribute information about residential matters and all have a First Aid Certificate to attend to minor emergencies. They're also equipped with specialist training to refer you to appropriate services both on and off campus if you ever need them.

Other support

Besides the Residential Leaders at each campus, you also have the following options for support.

Managers (Residential Operations) are full-time professionals who manage the support scheme at each major campus.

Residence Life Coordinators (Albury, Bathurst, Dubbo, Orange, Port Macquarie, and Wagga Wagga) assist the Managers in the areas of residential support and operations.
